Conquer Creative Writing Book 2 aims to provide young children with a systematic and progressive approach to composition writing. There are various types of exercises in this book: • Cloze passage, with pictures but without helping words – the pictures serve as clues to the answers. The students fill in each blank with an appropriate word by looking at each picture. This will train them to extend their vocabulary, and at the same time, to be more aware of grammatical rules. • Cloze passage, without pictures and helping words – the students have to read through a passage once to get the general idea of the story. This will help them to think of the most appropriate word to fill in each blank to complete a story.
