Small World Series 1-3 has been crafted to encourage learning in young students, it gives them a ground to acquire basic knowledge about scientific phenomena.
As the student progresses, the topics become more advanced and activities are designed to aid students build up on and strengthen their skills. Based on the SESE programme (Social, Environmental and Scientific Education), this series will develop in children their sense of place and space in the world as young geographers, their sense of time as they work as historians, and their sense of wonder and curiousity as scientists. The workbooks are supported and supplemented by the Teacher’s Resource Book, which is full of practical ideas to enable the teacher to maximize the child’s learning outcomes.
